4 Vegan Protein Powder Bite Recipes
Sometimes you need something sweet and small to satisfy a craving, especially when eating healthy. These vegan protein powder bites are a great solution to these cravings – a small treat packed full of goodness.
Vitamin C Bites:
You will need –
- 150g dried apricots
- Juice of ½ lemon
- Zest of 1 lemon
- 2 tsp baobab powder
- 2 tbsp vanilla vegan complete protein powder
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 100g almonds
- 1 tbsp coconut oil
- 2 tbsp coconut flakes
Instructions
- Blitz 100g of apricots with the lemon juice, zest and baobab powder until combined.
- Roll the mix into balls and place in the fridge.
- Blitz the almonds, remaining 50g of apricots, protein powder, maple syrup, coconut oil and coconut flakes.
- Wrap this mixture around the balls and refrigerate for at least an hour before eating.
Avocado and Coco(a) Bites:
You will need –
- 1/2 avocado
- 1 banana
- 150g coconut cream
- 20g maple syrup
- 25g chocolate vegan complete protein powder
- 25g cacao nibs
- 100g melted dark vegan chocolate
Instructions
- Mash together the avocado, banana, coconut cream, syrup and protein powder until smooth.
- Stir in 20g of the cacao nibs (leave some aside) then shake into balls.
- Cover the balls in the melted dark chocolate and top with the remaining cacao nibs before freezing until solid.
Cinnamon Balls:
You will need –
- 1 tbsp cinnamon
- ¼ cup vanilla vegan complete protein powder
- ¼ cup maple syrup
- ½ cup ground almonds
- ¼ cup nut butter
- ¾ cup oats
Instructions
- Grind the oats until slightly smoother before mixing with the ground almonds, protein powder, cinnamon and nut butter.
- Add the maple syrup and stir until combined – add more syrup if the mixture is too dry.
- Roll into balls and refrigerate until firm, then remove from fridge and dust with extra cinnamon if you desire.
Spicy Sweet Bites:
You will need –
- 100g almonds
- 50g cranberries
- Zest of 1 lemon and 1 orange
- 40g vanilla vegan complete protein powder
- 1 tsp cayenne pepper
- 25g coconut oil (melted)
- 50g almond flakes
- 50g goji berries
Instructions
- Blitz the almonds until they are smaller chunks, then mix with the cranberries, zests, protein powder and cayenne pepper.
- Add in the coconut oil and goji berries until the mixture is smooth. Then shape into balls, roll in the almond flakes, and refrigerate until firm.
