What is collagen?

Collagen is a structural protein that is abundant in the connective tissues of animals. It serves as a crucial component that provides strength, elasticity, and support to various tissues throughout the body. Collagen is made up of amino acids, primarily glycine, proline, and hydroxyproline, which are arranged in a unique triple-helix structure. This configuration gives collagen its tensile strength and durability. In the human body, collagen production tends to decrease with age, which can lead to signs of aging such as wrinkles, joint pain, and reduced elasticity in the skin.

The main difference between vegan and non-vegan sources of collagen lies in their origin and composition. Non-vegan collagen is typically derived from animal sources, such as bovine (cow) or marine (fish) collagen. These animal-derived collagens contain the full array of amino acids required for the human body to synthesise its own collagen effectively.

In contrast, vegan collagen is not actually collagen but is composed of ingredients that promote the body's natural collagen production. Since true collagen cannot be sourced from plants, vegan collagen products often include a blend of plant-based amino acids, vitamins, and minerals that support collagen synthesis. While these products do not provide collagen directly, they supply the necessary nutrients to boost the body's collagen production, naturally.

Introducing Vollagen® Extra from Veganicity: Achieve Youthful, Radiant Skin, Naturally

Vollagen® Extra is an advanced blend of essential nutrients designed to visibly reduce fine lines and wrinkles, enhance your skin's radiance, and provide firmer, more hydrated, and softer skin. This powerful formula supports the health of your hair, skin, and nails, while also aiding in the formation of ligaments and tendons, thereby maintaining healthy joints.

Collagen, the most abundant protein in our bodies, is crucial for producing connective tissues such as tendons, ligaments, skin, and muscles. It also plays a significant role in bones and cartilage, providing flexibility and resilience, allowing our tissues to withstand daily movements. However, as we age, collagen production declines, starting around age 25 and dropping to about 50% by age 50. Sun exposure, free radical damage, poor diet, and a sedentary lifestyle further accelerate this decline. Reduced collagen levels can lead to fine lines, wrinkles, loss of skin firmness, dryness, and decreased hair and nail health.

Vollagen® Extra, Veganicity offers a cruelty-free alternative that delivers all the benefits of collagen without compromising your values. Vollagen® is a 100% plant-based alternative, formulated from a fermented blend of amino acids that match the 18 amino acids found in human collagen. This unique blend is easily absorbed by the body, promoting natural collagen production for sustainable, premium skincare. The result is firmer, more hydrated, and softer skin with visibly reduced fine lines and wrinkles, improved radiance, and a more even skin tone.

In addition to its collagen-boosting properties, Vollagen® Extra includes silica, which enhances skin regeneration, elasticity, texture, and hydration. Hyaluronic Acid, a vital component of connective tissue, supports joint health and maintains skin suppleness. Vitamin C, a powerful antioxidant, aids in collagen production and supports the health of blood vessels, bones, cartilage, gums, and teeth. Zinc, an essential trace mineral, aids enzyme function and B vitamin absorption, contributing to healthy bones, skin, nails, and hair while reducing fatigue.

Vollagen® Extra combines all these powerful ingredients in one vegan capsule, ensuring you stay radiant and glowing all day long!
